ItsTheManOnTheMoon<p>I may never have a more relevant context in which to share my story about the time I met <a href="https://octodon.social/tags/JackPalance" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>JackPalance</span></a> than tonight's <a href="https://octodon.social/tags/monsterdon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>monsterdon</span></a></p><p>He had just published a book of love poems and was doing a reading and signing (and also doing his one-armed push-up bit. He was 77 years old at the time) and I got to tell him that he had scared the bejeezus out of my older brother as <a href="https://octodon.social/tags/Dracula" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Dracula</span></a>.</p><p>Jack Palance said to me, with a twinkle in his eye and in exactly the cadence you're imagining in your head right, "Oh, we wouldn't want to do <em>that</em>!"</p><p>He seemed like a lovely man and he signed our book "Love, Jack Palance"</p>
