Andy Fletcher<p>Battery systems can deliver very high fault currents so ensure that breakers can handle these fault currents and disconnect safely. A typical 280AH LiFePO4 cell can have an internal resistance of 0.17 milliohm so a string of cells can deliver fault currents of about 10KA before something melts. Also ensure that the connections are properly torqued. As a guide MCBs up to 63A should be torqued to about 1.8Nm and those up to 125A 3Nm.
