#Today just felt my very first earthquake. We're in a prime area, but I've never felt one before. My phone even sounded an alarm--good to know it does that. Living in an RV our home has springs, so we just bounced around a bit.

#Today Theo decided it was time to explore all the spaces in the house he hasn't been in before: like the inside of the refrigerator, the inside of the dishwasher, and the inside of the washing machine and the dryer.

Having had a senior cat for the past years, I'd forgotten how mischievous cats can be.

Welp. The morning working in the sunshine is done for #myday #today.
My spoons are spent, and this old body says QUIT!
So, it's time for some sitting n sipping in the cooler air inside on my comfy couch.

It's too hot outside now for any more weed workout n grass clipping anyway. But gotta big dent in the mess, and there's always "grass trimming Tuesday" and "weed whacking Wednesday" to look forward to.

Now, it's restin, coolin' off n sipping something cool n refreshing. Then it's up and tackling Heather's usual Monday Honey-doin list.

Good morning! It's a very Mondy-looking Monday. We've got heavy clouds with hopes of the sun appearing later.

It is unusually quiet outside. No bird activity, just 2 squirrels chasing each other. We put up our hummingbird feeders yesterday, in hopes they'll appear with the expected warmer weather. We're also on "wood duck watch" as the first nest should be hatching any day now. I guess patience is the lesson for the day.

Hey, y'all . Good morning to ya.

Welp. It has finally become that time of year. Spring has sprung, the yard is green, and now it's time to mow the thing.

Yup, #today marks the start of #myday's of miserable mowing Mondays.

That's, of course, on top of all the miserable Monday Honey-doins that have to get done somehow.

At least, the weather is up for it, even if I'm not. It's a warm n sunny 53deg start to my morning sipping and is expected to hit the mid 80s #today.

So, yeah. The summer shorts are coming outa the closet today.

Yelp, I suppose I should get this "show on the road," as they say. The coffee needs sipping n sunshine to sit in.

I walked out this morning into a beautiful sunrise: layers of color one on top of the next. It made me glad I went out for the walk despite my aches and pains.

Today I plan to stay home, figure out and pay my 2025 estimated taxes, do laundry and a few other chores, and try to write.

And, of course, spend some time playing and cuddling with Theo and reading and relaxing in my recliner chair.

At 4am #today it was new years. My wife was up. She went out front. Burned some incense. Talked with other Khmer neighbors. Me? Well no way. I'm sure the Buddha understands.

I did ask to have the rain stopped. And now the sun peeks out. Before that my wife insisted on pancakes and yellow dragon fruit. Inside it is not yellow. It's white. The main difference seems to be it's not so sweet. Red has to be the sweetest. Fruit is a joy here.

Happy new years. Thanks Buddha. I appreciate all I have. And what I don't have. Now it's coffee out because every day the walk takes me.

Happy #SofaSunday! It’s a cloudy day, but at least we’re rain free until Tuesday.

We’ve always got red foxes visiting, but lately we’ve seen a pair of gray foxes on our cameras. They’ve been absent since the summer of 2023, which is when we saw them for the first time. It’s nice to discover they’re around. These sightings periodically remind me that we don’t know even half of what’s occurring in the woods around us.
