"Vice Adm Shoshana Chatfield has been fired. She was the first woman to lead the US Naval War College in Newport, RI. Her tenure made her a target of conservative advocacy, claiming she was overly concerned with DEI.

Chatfield served as America’s rep to the NATO MIL CMTE, the alliance’s group of top uniformed officials. The body advises NATO’s two most senior military leaders & helps guide LT strategy.

A shameful #firing.

…no longer a need for Clearview to pretend to be apolitical. Lambert…new co-CEO, is already in business with both #ElonMusk’s #SpaceX and #DoD…and he has made no secret of his desire to deploy #Clearview as an instrument of #MAGA rule.

Clearview’s business model is based on “weaponizing our own images against us without a license, without consent, without permission,” says Albert Fox Cahn, executive director of the Surveillance Technology Oversight Project @STOPSpying

Mother JonesRevealed: The shocking far-right agenda behind the surveillance tech used by ICE and the FBIThousands of newly obtained documents show that Clearview AI’s founders always intended to target immigrants and the political left. Now their digital dragnet is in the hands of the Trump administration.

Trump's firing of U.S. Navy Vice Admiral Shoshana Chatfield is being referred to as an "expanding national security purge" but let's be honest. This isn't about national security any more than firing Gen CQ Brown & Adm Lisa Franchetti was. This is about fucking over women and POC who are the best of the best. This is an expanding attack on women and POC. It's not "national security" anything...except weakening it. As always, Putin is thrilled. #military #DOD

"With remarkable transparency, the Pentagon has offered a public inventory of the $66.5 billion array of weaponry supplied to Ukraine — including, at last count, more than a half-billion rounds of small-arms ammunition and grenades, 10,000 Javelin antiarmor weapons, 3,000 Stinger antiaircraft systems, 272 howitzers, 76 tanks, 40 High Mobility Artillery Rocket Systems, 20 Mi-17 helicopters and three Patriot air defense batteries.

But a New York Times investigation reveals that America was woven into the war far more intimately and broadly than previously understood. At critical moments, the partnership was the backbone of Ukrainian military operations that, by U.S. counts, have killed or wounded more than 700,000 Russian soldiers. (Ukraine has put its casualty toll at 435,000.) Side by side in Wiesbaden’s mission command center, American and Ukrainian officers planned Kyiv’s counteroffensives. A vast American intelligence-collection effort both guided big-picture battle strategy and funneled precise targeting information down to Ukrainian soldiers in the field.

One European intelligence chief recalled being taken aback to learn how deeply enmeshed his N.A.T.O. counterparts had become in Ukrainian operations. “They are part of the kill chain now,” he said.

The partnership’s guiding idea was that this close cooperation might allow the Ukrainians to accomplish the unlikeliest of feats — to deliver the invading Russians a crushing blow. And in strike after successful strike in the first chapters of the war — enabled by Ukrainian bravery and dexterity but also Russian incompetence — that underdog ambition increasingly seemed within reach."

Last week, while reviewing detected lookalike domains, one in particular stood out: cdsi--simi[.]com. A quick search pointed him to a legitimate U.S. military contractor, CDSI, which specializes in electronic warfare and telemetry systems. It's legitimate domain cdsi-simi[.]com features a single hyphen, whereas the lookalike domain uses two hyphens.

Passive DNS revealed a goldmine: a cloud system in Las Vegas hosting Russian domains and other impersonations of major companies.

Here are a few samples of the domains:

- reag-br[.]com Lookalike for Reag Capital Holdings, Brazil.
- creo--ia[.]com Lookalike for an industrial fabrication firm in WA State.
- admiralsmetal[.]com Lookalike for US based metals provider.
- ustructuressinc[.]com Lookalike Colorado based Heavy Civil Contractor.
- elisontechnologies[.]com Typosquat for Ellison Technologies machine fabrication.
